Lightning Storm | Chicago May 11th 2011
Last night Chicago was blanketed with rain, a bit of thunder and a pretty impressive lightning show.
I’ve photographed lightning before, but this was the first time I was actually close enough to produce a image with more than small sliver of light in the distance.
Needless to say I was pretty happy with the final results! Technical notes: this image was shot at 400 iso with a 16-35mm lens at f8 with a 5 second exposure.
More storms are coming tonight!

I recently got back from a three day trip to NY City. Unfortunately it rained everyday including the day of my departure and return

After countless hours waiting, canceled and delayed flights, and a few beer’s at the O’hare terminal I finally arrived in the Empire State. With little time on my side, i managed to visit some of the key attractions and came out with a handful of nice images. On Sunday, I had the great privilege of photographing Rina and Moshe’s wedding in the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park, under the Brooklyn Bridge. The wedding was absolutely incredible – i can’t wait to post a few images in the near future.
